Strengths
An autonomous seismic sensor located further down the avalanche chute than the exploder records the avalanche activity and, following the blast, lets operators know whether the avalanche has actually happened before modelling its power.
We have developed an algorithm that analyses the signals received to confirm that the avalanche
has been triggered and estimate its power.
