Huy cable car maintenance: ongoing technical support by MND

The Huy jig-back benefits from a rigorous maintenance program to ensure its proper operation and user safety. A maintenance contract was signed in February, formalizing MND’s commitment, in partnership with STEM, to providing technical support for its operation.

A structured partnership for effective maintenance

From the moment the cable car opened, MND has provided remote technical support, ensuring optimal assistance for the operator. STEM, as a technical partner, oversees the maintenance carried out by the operator.

Key maintenance operations

La maintenance annuelle du téléphérique s’étend sur trois semaines, période durant laquelle des In-depth inspections and technical tests are carried out:

  • Verification of electrical systems and emergency motors
  • Brake tests and load trials
  • Cable inspection and control of the drive system and brake at station G2

STEM, present on-site, monitors the progress of maintenance operations and provides regular updates. MND will conduct the annual inspection at the end of March, ahead of the planned reopening in early April.

Additionally, a lighter semi-annual maintenance is performed at the end of each operating period. This focuses on technical adjustments and safety checks, primarily carried out through remote assistance.
