On Tuesday, December 9, just days before the Critérium de la Première Neige in Val d’Isère, French skier Victor Muffat-Jeandet visited MND’s headquarters in Sainte-Hélène-du-Lac (Savoie) to meet with the company’s teams.
It was an opportunity to recognize the work carried out by MND and its subsidiary MBS, which are deployed every winter on the world’s major ski competitions to ensure race course safety.
Wearing his race gear and skis, Victor Muffat-Jeandet boarded the ORIZON gondola, MND’s new detachable lift line installed as a demo at the company’s headquarters. A first ride before heading to the top of the Bellevarde slope in Val d’Isère for the World Cup just a few days later.
Held last weekend, the Critérium de la Première Neige marks the opening of the FIS World Cup events in France each season. MND has been a partner of the event for over ten years, working closely with the Val d’Isère Sports Club.
Each year, MBS teams handle all safety installations: safety nets, race poles, pads, and inflatable high-protection modules, covering the entire course from start to finish.
As part of its ongoing support for competitive skiing, MBS signed a five-year partnership on November 19 with the French Para Ski & Snowboard Federation (FFH), supporting the national teams in their run-up to the 2030 Olympic Games.
The agreement also includes the creation of a joint working group made up of athletes, FFH experts, and MBS engineers, to co-develop new technical safety solutions for training and competition.
