Operating in all weather conditions and at any time of day, this optional feature enables operators to ensure that no hikers or skiers are present near avalanche control systems before initiating a release.
Installing one or several temporary radars in high-risk areas allows operators to study actual avalanche activity over multiple winters and optimize the positioning of future avalanche control systems. Installation outside avalanche paths — typically on the opposite slope of the monitored area — allows for rapid deployment at any time of year.
