At the heart of the Chamonix valley, this automatic inclined elevator provides access to a beginner ski area. Automatic and glazed, this installation is an efficient, reliable, and perfectly integrated link.
Carried out in close collaboration with our client’s teams the Compagnie du Mont Blanc, and our partner SOMERM, this regulatory inspection requires a thorough check of the various safety components: the service brake clamp, the safety brake clamp and the vehicle’s body. This is a major intervention that MND teams carry out as part of the life cycle monitoring of all ropeway equipment, providing certified technicians to ensure the sustainability of ski area investments.
This operation of disassembly, reassembly and adjustment allowed us to check the wear of all the safety and high safety parts using non-destructive testing. In-depth on-site and factory analyses carried out to accurately determine the condition of the wearing parts and the corrective actions to be taken.
After reassembling parts, making various adjustments and restarting the machine, the inspection and test operations were carried out without load and then with full load, and enabled the integrity of the whole machine to be verified, attesting in particular to the effectiveness of all the braking systems, which were revised and recalibrated.
As soon as the ski area opens, users will be able to use this MND ROPEWAYS device again in complete safety.
