Two years after MND secured a €100 million turnkey contract to develop the Chimgan tourist site into a four-season destination, the project continues to move forward with significant milestones achieved in recent weeks.
Today, nearly 100 people are working on-site, and our installations are bringing this large-scale project to life in the heart of the Central Asian mountains.
Driven by the Uzbek authorities with support from the French government, the project aims to establish Chimgan as a year-round international tourist destination. MND is delivering its full range of expertise by managing all technical components: ropeways, leisure infrastructures, safety systems, and snowmaking solutions.
The latest logistics milestone: terminal sheaves have left our workshops in Savoie and are on their way to equip one of the site’s chairlifts.
Recent on-site progress highlights the momentum of the construction phase:
Next steps include: installation of the rail sled, ziplines, tubing area, and automated snowmaking system.
This project fully reflects the strength of the MND model: a single partner capable of designing, manufacturing, and installing complete solutions for the mountains.
It brings together the combined expertise of MND’s four Business Lines – Ropeways, Snow, Safety, and Leisure – along with our subsidiary MBS, a specialist in site development.
From design to commissioning, all equipment is assembled in France, within our industrial ecosystem in Savoie. This project proudly showcases French know-how internationally, supporting a sustainable, modern, and four-season tourism model.
Driven by the Uzbek government’s commitment to structuring its tourism offering, this development is backed by the full dedication of MND’s teams..
