As the highest resort in Europe and the highest point of the 3 Valleys ski area, Val Thorens, the largest ski area in the world, requires special attention to ensure the safety of both tourists and operating staff. As a partner of SETAM, the Val Thorens operating company, MND has been installing and regularly commissioning remote avalanche triggering systems for 30 years as part of the extension of the ski area, seasonal openings or one-off prevention interventions. In 2020, MND installed the first Obell’X™ in the resort.
