Recognised as the cradle of avalanche research in North America, the Alta ski resort in the state of Utah equipped itself with Obell’X technology for remote avalanche control and triggering in 2020. With an average of almost 1.5m of snow each year, the Alta avalanche office has turned to these systems to increase the level of safety for skiers and employees. These devices are currently in use on East Baldy and East Castle, as well as above Route 210 and the town of Alta.
